Turning up the volume, I listened as Devon won everyone’s favor that I was nothing more than trash. I also had to watch as Devon approached Domonic and told him she was right about me all along and that she was sorry that he couldn’t see my true colors sooner. The hand not holding my phone balled into a fist as I wished I could smack the smirk off Devon’s face when she thought she had won. Dominic said he would hold a meeting tomorrow to end this mess, but everyone needed to return to work because the party was over.

The engine’s purr faded as he parked, and Mira practically squealed beside her, “Holy fuck, do you hear that? That’s Inferno, the hottest underground spot on campus!” Scarlet raised an unimpressed brow, though her stomach twisted with excitement. “You’ve got to be kidding me. They actually named a party after the devil’s basement?” Mira laughed, “Exactly why we’re going in.” The car doors clicked open, and the sound of heavy beats crashed against their ears like thunder. They stepped out, and the world around them exploded in sound and color—strobe lights slicing through shadows, smoke curling in the air, werewolves and hybrids dancing like they had no goddamn souls left to save.

Though she felt her life slipping away, her hatred remained strong, and despair gripped her. “But do you think it’s over just like this? We drove to the bar, and as we entered, the dazzling music and chattering voices filled the air. "Exclusive, please," Ledger requested. "Let's go, man. Cheer up," he said, hitting me on the chest as we moved into the exclusive bar. "See this stripper, man," Ledger pointed out as I sat down, observing the scene. My eyes locked onto her. Something about the way she rolled on the pole captivated me. Her eyes met mine; she bit her pink lips and winked at me. As I watched her graceful performance, I couldn't help but feel intrigued.

“A favor. That 's it. I don’t have anything in mind, yet. But when I do, I’ll call for you, you’ll answer me. No matter what. Otherwise, the deal is broken and you’ll get back to this shithole.” Mia breathed heavily. A favor? Get out of there? “Are you the Devil?” she asked. She still remembered some of the things her mother had told her. Mia shook her head, avoiding thinking too deeply about her mother. “Who cares? Does it matter?” “It does! I don’t want no deal with the Devil!” “You’re too picky, for someone who is about to become a worker in a brothel. Not only you, but your little doll of a sister.”

It was just a way for him to have control and power over me. But I’m the one with the power here. To get my revenge, I would do anything, I would give anything, and right now, I was selling my soul to the devil. But in this story, there are two devils. One doesn’t just know it yet.
