Inside, the gala pulsed with orchestrated elegance. Women in gowns worth more than Ayla’s rent glided past men with blood-stained hands wrapped in Armani. Waiters floated by with champagne. It would’ve been beautiful if she didn’t know who half these people were — or what they’d done to get here. Lucian’s voice echoed in her mind: “Serrano traffics secrets. Vimar and Brage sink into the grass, while Indra manages to stay upright. "Your friends aren't as strong as you are. You're interesting, little girl. Who are you?" Indra raises her chin, looks defiantly into the fairy queen’s bottomless black eyes and replies in a strong voice: "I am Indra, the Devil's Daughter." Melia's backing away. Mr Calypso growled, clenching his fists, unable to stand the disrespect.

A sign turning into smoke as it circled the flesh of death dragging out the screaming souls of her once parents to call. Grabbing the orbs as their screams subside and are gone. It turned back to its form as it dives and back to the dark pit where it came from, leaving the echoing laugh of the devil as it slowly vanishes in the deep distance below.
