Olivia POV: I rolled in waves through the liquid gold that smothered me with warmth. His words from last night, Diamonds, are forever. They should have comforted me, but instead something twisted inside of me. Something hidden deep under the golden warmth that had seduced my mind. Something was screaming inside of me, but it was so far away, so hard to reach. His hands continued to stroke my hair, his voice sweet and intoxicating in my ear, "you will soon learn to love it here," he said "to love me."

ALICE I smiled the moment I heard his voice from outside. My hand settled on the door handle, but I didn't open it immediately. "Shine bright like a diamond..." His voice drifted through the door. A second later, another voice burst in and completely took over. "SHINE BWIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND!" I pressed my lips together. Whatever chance he had of staying on key had just been destroyed. The laugh escaped before I could stop it. Diamond repeated the line at the top of her lungs, completely off-key and completely convinced she was delivering the performance of a lifetime.

I yelled at him, my eyes becoming teary as I recalled how I had fallen in love with that necklace I found in Ethan’s wardrobe and how he had snatched it from me, leaving the house furiously. “It’s a gift from me, Harper. It’s just a pearl necklace with a diamond inside the pearl. It’s a sign of friendship and commitment. It’s my way of assuring you that I will stand by you no matter what happens. I am giving you this pearl because I’m your friend, Harper, and I’m never going to leave you or disappoint you.” He told me, pulling me in for a hug as he ran his hand on my back.

Your hair, love. "Sorry," I blurted out before lifting my heavy hair. An ice-cold shiver ran down my spine as the diamonds graced my skin. The weight of the diamonds made me realize how expensive this was. It wasn't just jewelry; it was art. I turned around to see him presenting me with a set of earrings. "Pearl-shaped emeralds to complete the look," he smiled. He held up a mirror for me and placed it on my ears. "Wow," I whispered.

The moment I looked inside, my breath caught. Pearls. Delicate, glowing, Cloud Sea pearls, each of them milky white with a faint shimmer of blue, like moonlight frozen in crystal. Exactly the kind I had lost. Maybe even more beautiful. I exhaled, the tight knot in my chest loosening just a little. He came back. Even when he wouldn’t say it out loud. A small, involuntary smile tugged at the corners of my lips. Just a flicker. But it stayed a second longer than usual.

His concern is evident in his voice, so I take a moment to gather my thoughts before responding. My gaze remains fixed on the diamond sets, the glittering jewels held delicately between my fingers. A single tear escapes my eye, landing on the sparkling diamond necklace. "He sold half of my jewels," I manage to choke out, my voice trembling with emotion as a lump forms in my throat. I refuse to show any weakness in front of Juan, but the sorrow runs deep within me. Turning to face him, I softly whisper, "Can you please leave me alone?" Juan stands there, his eyes locked with mine, filled with a mix of remorse and deep concern.

She holds them up and raises an eyebrow, “Mmmm. So the Dark Lord likes purple, huh?” I snatched the panties out of her hands. “I honestly don’t care what he likes. I’m not trying to impress him...” I shoot a look at Gwen. “Or seduce him. I’m just simply trying to survive a day at a time right now...since life just wants to keep pounding me like a relentless mystical hurricane hellbent on breaking me into a million pieces.” Harley giggles. “That’s a bit dramatic.” I nod. “Dramatic but true.”

He had set a royal blue high heel strap sandals, alongside a silver purse and jewelries. "Do I really need to wear jewelries?" Starr asked Magnus as she began to towel her body and apply cream. He nodded affirmatively. "It is the icing on the cake Boo," he told her as he began to stuff things he presumed she was going to need, including a condom. I kept on falling. I felt like I fell down a really dark well and I just kind of sat at the bottom. I looked above and saw no light, no hope. I was holding something, an earing. It was a white pearl covered with dazzling stones, diamonds. “Water.” I mumbled.

"Tell him," I said slowly, pressing my bleeding palm against the cold glass of the porthole, watching the moonlight fracture through the red. "Tell him... I took the blank paper. Tell him I wrote the ending." "Signora—" "And Maria?" I leaned my forehead against the glass. The Atlantic roared beyond, indifferent. "Tell him the pearls were a gift. Not for remembrance.
