The office telephone on my desk started ringing. The secretaries all turned immediately. Blaire didn’t even rush, she answered with a lazy expression and placed the receiver on her shoulder. “Yes?” A deep voice replied stiffly. “Ms Fifth Secretary. Come to my office. Now.” Kelvin Halt. The man everyone feared. And the man I, Rose David, had agreed to serve like a slave not because I wanted to, but because I had no choice. I obeyed everything he said. Everything. Blaire dropped the receiver with a long, disrespectful hiss.

Rose would not let Theo know anything at any time. "Rose." Rose looked up, immediately wiping the wet face with the back of her hand. Not far from her, a middle-aged doctor walking behind Aiden became the center of Rose's attention. She immediately changed position, dangling a leg next to the hospital blanket. “You worry too much. Let’s just get to the doctor, okay?” His eyes widened in surprise at my reaction, and then slowly, he lifted his hand to rest over mine, which was still on his nose. He chuckled softly softly. “You’re something else, hm?” I smiled softly, feeling a little of the tension between us ease. Tyler and I made our way to Dr. Drake’s office. When we got there, Tyler knocked on the door. Dr. Drake’s voice echoed from inside. “Come in,” he said. Tyler and I stepped inside. Dr. Drake lifted his gaze to look at us. He seemed to be in his fifties, wore glasses, and had on a lab coat.

I growl. "Okay I'm going to give you so heavy duty pain killers, and we'll have to see what happens." The doctor hands Katy two small salmon colored pills. Katy lifts my head up on her knees and pops them in my mouth, then holds up a water bottle to my lips that the doctor gave her. I drink the cold liquid, and the pills drain down my throat. "Where's her mate?" The doctor asks. "Right here!" Tyler bursts into the room and takes Katy's place.

Chapter 7: A Friend in Cleo Hannah: The door burst open, and the doctor walked in. Once he saw my frightened look, he glanced toward Tyrell, then down at the vial Tyrell was holding. "Beta Tyrell!
