The Doctor's Wife
The terrified crematorium staff didn't dare intervene.
Amid the scuffle, I grabbed Nancy's hair and yanked it hard. She cried in pain, tears of agony streaming down her face.
Using this opportunity, I lunged and slammed my body against the cremator's switch.
Before Lucy could react, fire engulfed Christopher inside the cremator. The roaring flames, towering two feet high, instantly consumed him.
In his final moments, the anesthetic wore off completely. Clinging to life, he sat upright, desperate to call for help. Unfortunately, the fire was too intense. No one could hear his cries. Everyone only saw a silhouette sitting up briefly before collapsing back into the flames.
