Professor Dearest
I receive a text from the cab driver indicating that he was outside and chills run down my spine as I replied with a curt replying simply noting that I will be outside shortly.
“Let’s go Lettie,” I tell her, bringing my non injured hand around her, holding her tightly.
“I’m in pain, Lettie. My head is pounding,” she hiccups from pain.
“I’m in pain too, but I didn’t have a concoction like you did. I will take you out of here and take care of you, okay?” I asked making sure she was with me.
“Where are we going?” Charlie asks as we slide out of the bed.
