Aiden yelled over the chaos. The last thing Iris saw was Damon’s face disappearing into the void, his scream ringing in her ears. Scene 1: A Rift in the Earth Iris fell to her knees, her hands trembling as she reached out to where Damon had been moments before. “We have to save him,” she said, her voice cracking.
