Livi was helpless, if not completely hopeless, and she thought it was best that she finally accept the fact that this - whatever it was - wasn't going to go her way. It never was, and she was a fool to have thought otherwise. When was she ever going to learn that hope wasn't anything more than a dead end? A waste of her time, breath, and sanity for the sake of... what? Comfort? Her temporary peace of mind? She wasn't sure, and in all honesty, she didn't care to figure it out. Instead, she decides right then and there that whatever it was for - herself, the situation, or someone, something, else - didn't matter
