I say this to the girls, and they both nod. We walk to the dance floor, and we start swaying our hips to the music. We are laughing and singing, and the guys eventually join. I’m happy and having fun, but even then, I feel a little sad because I miss Nick. I have this nagging sensation that something is going to happen; what if Nick is not here when it turns twelve? What if my friend is here from another pack? I try pushing the thoughts to the back of my mind, and I just focus on the music and keep dancing with my friends.
