Swallowing hard as I read. Pictures, documents, even a fucking wiki. I have the laptop resting on my forearm as I pull up a picture of Draco Torrent. His eyes filled with evil. He's holding a tiny, curly haired little girl. No more than three. He's not really a smiling dad. More like a proud father. His power exuding, but subdued by the baby in his arms at the same time. A hint of love behind the murderer. I flip the pictures. Torrent standing, dressed in black with a curly haired girl also dressed in black. She has to be about five or so. I zoom into the little girl. She's sad. I zoom out and click the link and read the article attached.

Ferdinand was dumbstruck, filling the silence with whatever words linked up on his tongue. “Sure.” Draco acknowledged his statement. “You look… powerful.” Ferdinand hadn’t seen the old dragon since the reign of the old tyrant king… no, a couple of years ago when he asked for the nails. Draco hadn’t aged a day, his skin covered in bright ink, his eyes liquid tar, his arrogant face. “You look so much like your father,” Draco noted. “The old tyranny who dares to injure my baby son.” He ground his teeth at the last sentence. “I hear they call you the Ambitious Emperor of The Unknown now.”

His skin was as radiant as jade, his brows gently furrowed, and he seemed to carry the light of the sun and moon within him as if born to illuminate the darkness. So Emma gently patted his head, "It's alright. Haven't I been living well?"
