What’s the hold up?” Drake says. “Well, there was this little thing, you might have heard about it, called a rejection?” I candidly say, he smiles laughing at my ability to joke about it, “yeah that happened, and he felt I needed some time to get over it before we moved forward after my eighteenth birthday,” I tell him. “So, he’s promised me in the coming months, he’ll move forward with the pass over. I feel ready for the role, and I want him and my mom to take some time to travel and see the world outside the Pack walls.”

However, as I strode my way to the entrance of the mansion, I heard a splash of water from the pool. Curious, I went there and saw the triplets swimming in the pool. My mouth dropped. Drake was sitting at the edge of the pool side while he was laughing at his brothers. The sunlight glimmered through his toned-brown leaner body. Among the three of them, Drake looked like he was an angel sent from above. He has these angelic gray eyes underneath his thick lashes.

Drake explained as he stood to his feet and started pacing around the room "I'm the one in pain, why are you the one pacing around?" I asked and Drake turned to glare at me "You think you're the only one this heat is affecting? I'm trying my best to stop my wolf from taking control and marking you by force" "He can do that?" I asked, taking two steps back. "Yes! So keep quiet and let me think of a way that would benefit both of us" Drake said as he continued to pace back and forwards to the point where my eyes started to hurt because I was trying to follow his movements

“Just a feeling. You seem... different from everyone else in this room. More down-to-earth.” Nadia wasn’t sure how to respond to that, but before she could say anything, Drake continued, his tone shifting slightly, as if he were deciding to share something personal. “I’m an actor, you know,” he said, his eyes glinting with a mix of pride and something else—maybe vulnerability. “Hollywood. It’s where I’m supposed to be. But my father... he didn’t see it that way.” He paused, as though unsure of how much he wanted to reveal, but then went on. “He wanted me to take over the family business, push me into the company, prove myself worthy of inheriting everything—millions, power... all of it.”

Drake was waiting. He stood on the threshold, backlit by the soft, controlled lighting of the house’s interior. He was still in his tuxedo, but the jacket was gone, the tie yanked loose, and his shirt was partially unbuttoned, exposing a sliver of that powerful, scarred chest. He looked less like a corporate titan and more like a captured beast. The moment the car door closed, muffling the sound, his eyes locked onto mine. There was no greeting. No small talk. "Stuff? Come on. Don't be shy. You gotta be doing something interesting." Adrian clears his throat, his leg bouncing nervously. "I, um... I teach. Actually. I’m an English professor. At Blackwood university." Drake lets out a low, appreciative whistle, the corners of his eyes crinkling. "No shit? A professor. That fits you, man. I always knew you were the smart, responsible type. I can totally see you grading papers in a cardigan." He laughs, a rich, warm sound that makes Adrian's stomach flip.

I was so happy yet I couldn't move from the spot I was standing on. Drake has grown into a handsome man.

But I felt the seat beside me shift, and when I reluctantly turned, there he was, sitting close. "What, again? Can't you see I'm busy?" I snapped, my anger seeping through, though his smile remained unchanged. "By the way, I didn't introduce myself when you accidentally spilled your drink on me. I'm Drake. Mind telling me why you keep coming here, drowning your sorrows in alcohol?" His question fueled my anger. I looked away, hoping my silence would make him leave. "Hello," he persisted, but I kept drinking, deliberately avoiding eye contact.
