I watched until he disappeared out of the area. I spun when a body came flying by me. Drake landed hard with a thud to my right side. I ran to check on him. “I’m fine! Get the hell out of here!” Drake’s demonic voice was loud and clear.

He tossed the metal asset carelessly over his shoulder, the gold token executing an arc through the crimson-tinted light before dropping cleanly into Drake’s handpiece. "Zero parameters initialized within this sector tonight. Regulate your data transmissions with absolute containment." Drake lowered his head, executing a rapid, disciplined withdrawal from the perimeter. Dominic closed his fingers around her wrist bone with an unyielding traction, advancing his massive stride toward the exterior. Avery was dragged behind his velocity with an unstable alignment, her boots catching awkwardly against the flooring multiple times as she nearly forfeited her balance; yet each time her system threat

Not when I haven’t destroyed the ones who ruined me yet. I tried raising my right leg, desperate for proof. Nothing. It was like my body ended there, like that part of me didn’t exist anymore. No feeling. No movement. My chest tightened with panic. I tried the left leg, it lifted, weak but real. My right leg, though… nothing. A hollow ache filled me. "And I don't think we'd need a wheelchair later on," Drake suddenly said. My heart skipped. What does he mean by that? Why wouldn’t I need a wheelchair?

His voice was trembling violently. Ashren and I jogged across the cavern floor, stepping carefully over the thick, dormant power cables. We reached the fissure. It was barely wide enough for Ashren’s massive shoulders. Drax had parked his wheelchair at the entrance, holding a glowing bioluminescent crystal to light the passage.

“You know I don't do things without proofs, elders. I would have waged a war again Seat of Trace for a while but I respect our rules and I didn't want to stir up trouble at all. But that was the last straw.” The elders whispered to themselves as they looked at those two already captured. Drake walked over to them with his iPad and bowed, loud enough for everyone to hear, he said. “I am Drake Apex, the soon to be ruler of Seat of Apex. I have confessions from those the elders of my seat captured already.” Drake said, handing them the iPad and they watched before handing it back to Drake with a nod.

So I let go, watching Drake’s body plummet, landing on the rocks below with a splatter of blood. However, almost immediately after he lands, he gets up. He looks up at me with a smile as though thanking me, slowly limping away until he shifts into his wolf form and runs away.

“Stop.” The word shattered the moment. Drake’s arm dropped slowly to his side. He didn’t argue. He didn’t beg again. He just stared at me, his face hollow. Defeated. Crushed. And then, with one last look…eyes filled with something close to sorrow..he turned and walked away. Xavier still didn’t move. Not until the sound of Drake’s retreating footsteps was completely gone. Only then did he speak. “Let’s go inside,” he said, voice barely above a whisper.

"Don't move yet. You're stable, but you need to rest. If you push now, you'll have these injuries for life." I stared at him, lost for a second, before I found my voice. "Thank you. Are you the one who saved me?" He nodded, then turned and brought me the warm tisane he had steeping on the side table. While I drank, he told me what had happened. His name was Kieran Drake. He was the Alpha heir of the Drake Pack — the pack that bordered Creed to the north. The Drakes had been pack warriors for generations. Same as the Ashfords. Loyal to their Alpha. Loyal to their pack.

Ethan then followed Dr. Howell outside. He closed the door behind him and asked in worry, "Dr. Howell, is Mr. Walker in bad shape? Does he need more blood? I have the same blood type as him …" "It's not that." Dr. Howell shook his head. "Mr. Walker is seriously injured, Ethan. You have to take good care of him and not let his wounds come in contact with water for three months." Ethan nodded. "I will take good care of Mr. Walker. Does that mean he is not allowed to take any shower in three months?"

I returned the knife back to the table, it wasn't an ordinary knife, it's a knife I made myself. I walked into the opening and took the ladder till I came down into a well furnished apartments. I clapped my hands and the metallic cover closed up. "It feels good to be back", I said looking around. Sorry I forgot to introduce myself, I am Drake, a guys obsessed with wealth, power and techn
