Redemption of The Dragon Prince
When I dream, I see Carnelia waiting for me, wanting me, calling from the other side of a long, dark tunnel.
"Primus," she cries, praying for me to return. "I need you. Please, don't die."
With a snap, I wake to a cold room, the sound of snores and whimpers blending with the crash of waves. My body, bruised, battered, and singed, burns where cold hands touch me, my flesh unable to make scales to protect me from pain.
Blinking up, a drake made of darkness hovers over me, his body outlined in blue as it drains away the fire from the net trapping me.
