“Same here,I was surprised to see you at this part of the city ,alone,I thought your father can't allow it” He said while licking his pink lips,was he drooling?. “Actually am not alone ,drew is here,told him to take a ride while I do my shopping” I said nonchalantly. “ohh” “Yeah” It had been like two years since I last saw Jake,and to say the truth I kind of missed him. “What about you ,what are you doing here?” I asked him. “I just came to bring Chris,he said he needed something here ” Jake shrugged,just then someone shouted from afar.

“I’m still me. I’m still working.” Drew’s eyes narrowed slightly, like he didn’t love being interrupted. Then, surprisingly, he nodded. “Good,” he said. “Because if this becomes a story, it ends. Immediately.” “I don’t want a story,” I said. Jace’s gaze lifted from his folder, landing on Drew. “Neither do I.” There was a beat of silence where Drew looked at Jace, really looked, like he was trying to read what Jace wouldn’t say out loud.

Jeremiah chuckled. Jake straightened up and cleared his throat. “I sure can,” he said with a newfound steel resolve that impressed Sue. He took a gulp of water and calmly and methodically ate everything on his plate but the last one. “I don’t want to be accused of being selfish. Do you want it?” Jeremiah’s mouth hung open. “Nah. You can have it,” Trevor said for his brother. “You don’t know what you’re missing.” Jake grinned and ate the last one before he finished the cup of water.

Drew's call came in a few minutes after her second class ended. She answered it. "Hey, wassup?" Aiden joined the call. "What's going on Drew?" "Uncle Rich wants to have dinner with us." Drew said. "Who's Uncle Rich?" She asked, just as Aiden asked, "what did you say?" "Uncle Rich is my Dad's brother, babe." Drew answered them consecutively. "And I said yes, Aiden. What else was I supposed to say? He would get suspicious."

"Is guaranteed to go around the school and no one's going to be saying shit about anyone else then." She nods her head towards the door where Jake is walking in with his brothers. His head's up, but he's not looking at anyone as he crosses the room to get his lunch. Mason and Lloyd however, are clearly loving the attention, winking and nodding at various girls who are staring at them all. "Where's Kian?" I ask when he drops into the seat beside mine. "Him and Mark had another falling out." Lloyd shrugs as though it's nothing, but I feel Jake tense beside me.
