She was slightly taller, her skin looked more tanned, and her eyes that were previously light hazel but now, I couldn’t even place the color. Her features seemed enhanced. She sat beside me and handed me something, I looked to see that she handed me a book. I squealed in delight. Finally! Something to distract me!! I can’t keep thinking about murderers and mythical creatures! I’ve even forgotten that I’m human, at this point. I slid my palm across the smooth cover of the book and admired the cover. Nyra’s POV I sat on the bed and placed Elaine’s book in front of me. For a moment I did nothing else. I just looked at it properly. In the library it had felt old and important. She mutters a couple of strange words, holds out her hand, and a book appears and falls onto it. The cover is fine leather engraved with a vine-like design that swirls around the edges of a large picture. The picture depicts a woman standing with her arms stretched up above her head. Above her, there are stars in the sky and I swear I see one twinkle. Shanna opens to the first page and I am stunned to see a spell.

Even its cover was clean, on the cover had the drawings, that Alpha Angelo couldn't understand. Being the first time to hold the book, he was surprised to see the picture of wolves in their full transformation. A full moon shinning above them, then at the far end of the cover there was a hunter with a ring shinning. It appeared to be a reflection from the moon's light, well, it was strange. It was strange because, Alpha Angelo couldn't understand why the picture of a hunter was on the cover. He wished to call Beta Dagon so that they can read it together, but he remembered.

Dusty and dark, the size of a coffin, edges bound in metal bands etched with tiny words too small to read. It rose until it sat fully above the sea of paper, long and heavy and unmistakably coffin‑shaped. Except where a coffin would have a lid, this had a cover. Like a book. A book so big it could only have been made to bury someone in. The “cover” creaked, splitting along its spine. The top half lifted a few inches, then a few more pages and paper sliding off it in small avalanches until, with a reluctant crack, it fell open.
