Marry Me, Madison

Marry Me, Madison

I turned it to the side where there is no dirt and wipe the book using it. I saw a black cover with gold linings and designs. I touch the ribbons that are placed in some of the pages. There are symbols located at the bottom part of the cover, carved and painted in the color of gold, but I don’t understand what it means. I looked at the back but there were just designs. I tried opening it but there’s a metal lock on the side. Huh? Was this… a secret book? It kinda looked like a grimoire.

One Night with the Hybrid King

One Night with the Hybrid King

But hope, like magic, has a price, and I am increasingly aware of that price. The book itself is a work of macabre art. The cover, made of dark leather that almost appears black, pulses with a life of its own, as if it were breathing. The leather is stained with deep shades of red, almost as though it has been soaked in blood over the centuries, giving it a sinister and throbbing appearance. Along the edges of the cover, aged silver chains are interwoven in complex patterns, depicting ancient runes and seals of protection, symbols only an enchantress could decipher. The title of the book is carved into the leather in rustic letters, subtly glinting with ruby, as though the words had been wri

Elf To Tame A Werewolf

Elf To Tame A Werewolf

She doesn't glance at where I lay as she walks to her cot, her face as blank as a sheet. 'Saelyna?' She shakes her head, staring at the book in her hands. The book. Curiosity gets the better of me and I push myself closer to see what the fuss was all about. It's like any other book, save for its cover, made from something that resembles a tree bark. No symbol, no marks. Just a book. Provoked, I reach out and grab it.

The Luna Queen

The Luna Queen

My eyes widened with anticipation, but inside, I found only a thick, leather-bound book. The cover was faded and worn, with the strange symbol embossed on it; a triangle with three circles inside. I ran my fingers over the symbol, a chill creeping up my spine. I had no idea what it meant, but it seemed significant, almost sacred. With hands that trembled, I lifted the book from the chest. The pages were thick and yellowed, and an old, musky smell filled the air as I carefully opened it.

Claimed By My Ex Boyfriend's Dad

Claimed By My Ex Boyfriend's Dad

The closer I peek at the book, the more I see the bold title. “The tighter the pussy, the greater the bliss: a dick’s way to wet land.” It has the drawing of a monster cock in front of it, curved in the shape of a banana. My body’s already hot as I reach for the book. However, the moment my hand lands on it, something like a machine chimes. It's only then that I realize this isn’t a book. It’s a panel designed as a book. My heart thumps as a distinct groan echoes in the study, startling me.

Let me Fix you, My broken Mate

Let me Fix you, My broken Mate

I mumble, heading to my office. I sit down in my chair and put the book on the desk. I look closely at the cover and realize it isn't leather, but some soft dark skin, more on a fur than the normal boom cover. My guess would be some.random animal with fur but I think sime fur isn’t smooth as this. I turn to the first page and mutter a curse under my breath. I read the tiny scrawl with widening eyes.

The Matchmaker who can see the red string of fate

The Matchmaker who can see the red string of fate

Back to the front cover. Kenneth gave me this book as a present. For drawing purposes, I know it's a sketchpad with white blank papers. Just ordinary... Yet now, I'm witnessing with my own two eyes how the plain abstract cover erased its colors, transforming into something red with cursive design at the center. Written in thick italic letters, THE BOOK OF STRINGS wrote itself as if there's an invisible hand with golden ink writing them. If I'm in my right state of mind, I would have screamed, tuck my tails, and bolt to ask for help. But I did nothing of those...

Jacob laughed. “I’ll kick your ass too!” I said as I glared at him. “Kris! We have one more surprise for you.” Penny yelled from behind my front desk. “What?” I looked confused. She walked out carrying a massive book. I recognized what it was right away. It’s the type of book that you use for a portfolio. “You got me a new book?” “Kinda.” Penny showed me the cover. It had a Black Moon with two wolves howling. The leather was fresh as I could smell it. Alec took the cover and opened it for me.

I have been in absolutely in love with this book since the beginning. I have enjoyed how the story has continued to develop beyond the siblings and their mates, but to another level of complexity within the familial ties. Amazing writing, well developed characters, not your typical werewolf story.

Could not put this book down on the first read. I am now reading all three a second time. Love the story line. Kris and Alec are badass characters and love their chemistry. Would love another book with the original characters, but maybe some chapters with POV from Jacob and Sherry or Emmy and Jasper

Frequently Asked Questions

Transforming a book into a piece of art through covering is such a delightful journey for me. It starts with choosing a theme that truly resonates with the story inside. For instance, if it’s something like 'The Night Circus,' I’d focus on mystical elements, perhaps using dark colors and gold accents. One method I love is your classic decoupage. You gather high-quality prints or even fabric that reflects the book’s essence. A light layer of Mod Podge on the book’s cover allows you to affix your designs securely, while additional layers add a dreamy, polished finish, making it feel even more enchanting.

Now, the secret sauce is really in the details! Adding embellishments like ribbons or charms associated with the plot can take your cover to the next level. Imagining little charms like a circus tent or a clock could flow with the narrative and personal touches that make this project distinctly yours. Plus, it’s always a hit to surprise friends with these custom creations; they’ll want their own soon!

Lastly, don’t forget about the spine! It’s a canvas in itself. Painting or covering it with quotes or symbols relevant to the narrative makes it an artful statement on any bookshelf. This kind of project is soothing, exciting, and so fulfilling. Every time I look at my shelf, each book reminds me of the creativity poured into preserving the stories they contain.
