He stopped only when he heard footsteps on the stairs. “What’s wrong?” Leonard Eastwood asked as he came downstairs, noticing Nathan immediately. Nathan turned to face him. He hesitated, clearly struggling, before finally speaking. “Where’s Tanya Reed?” he demanded. “You sent her to a place like that—did it ever cross your mind that something could happen to her?”

After finishing our dinner, Easton drove us away from the restaurant. I wondered where we were headed, but when Easton stopped and opened the car door, I couldn’t help but gape in awe. He took a deep breath and looked around to find the sterile collection cup waiting to be filled. He gulped and played other CDs he could watch, but even straight sex didn't do the job.
