Honestly, I got about halfway through 'You Re Mine' before I put it down, so maybe my memory's a bit fuzzy. From what I recall, Easton is this incredibly possessive, almost stalker-ish love interest who becomes obsessed with the main girl. The plot centers on their intense, toxic relationship, full of jealousy and control issues, set in a high school or maybe a college environment. I think there's a mystery element too, like something from her past connects them?
I found Easton's behavior more alarming than romantic, personally. The writing tried to frame it as this dark, passionate romance, but it crossed a line for me into genuine discomfort. Maybe the second half redeems him? I doubt it. The main plot felt like a series of increasingly dramatic confrontations designed to keep them tied together, rather than a story with real progression.
