Edgar reached for her hand and pressed a gentle kiss to the back of it—a tenderness he had never shown his own wife.
"Leave Roby, Larisa," he said quietly. "Stop chasing a man who doesn't want you."
Larisa slowly turned to face him, her eyes clouded with uncertainty.
"What do you mean?"
"Let's end this charade," Edgar said urgently, his eyes filled with determination. "Leave him, and I'll divorce Silva. We can leave this place, get married, and start a new life together. I promise I'll make you happier than Roby ever could."
