Dragon sat with Jenny and her triplets around a small fire, its flames dancing gently and casting shifting shadows across their faces. Jerry sat beside Jackson, with Jakiri next to them. Towering over them, Dragon, with his fiery red eyes and commanding presence, exuded an aura that kept everyone on edge. Finally, there was Jenny. Jerry looked up at Dragon with a curious smile and asked, “You’ve told us a lot about werewolf customs, but there’s one question that has always fascinated me. What’s the story of the mate? And how does a werewolf find their destined partner?”

A loud growl sounded from the far side of the house, and the sound of heavy paws hitting the marble floor followed. “Mommy’s home,” I called out and walked to the pet food cabin, took out some goodies, and turned to find gold eyes staring at me. I smiled and walked to my fur baby, a beast on four heavy paws and a whole 300 pounds of muscles. Drogon was a six-year-old tiger I had adopted, after rescuing him from the wildfire in Australia. He was a big baby with heavy muscles, snow-white fur with midnight black stripes, and I loved him more than life itself.

Each Archdragon was blessed with the gift to control the element they were born with. There was the Archdragon of Earth a magestic golden brown color, much like the, color of sand kissed by the sun; his name was Alluvium, he ruled over the element of earth itself… the lush green fields and fertile soil were all under his command, the humans believed that if they had a good year of crop growth and fertile lands;that the Earth dragon was in a good mood or happy with them. If they could not find any wild animals to hunt or their crops failed to flourish, it meant that Alluvium was upset or angered depending on the gravity of the situation.

“Who presents this newest member to the pack?” Richard asked as he stood on the dais. The pack members were all seated at the tables and I stood next to Kiran. “I, Kiran Sinclair, Alpha of the Southern Alaskan Pack,” he answered. “Present your member to the pack,” Richard said to him. “I present Levi Montgomery Sinclair, son of Georgina Sinclair, taken at the age of two and raised human and unaware, born of the Southern Alaskan pack under Female Alpha Georgina Sinclair,” Kiran said.

He walked casually through the air, each step sending ripples of energy like shards of glass. “You’re too late, Rayden,” he said in a hoarse but deep voice. “The true Saint Dragon has been born and is waiting for you in the Seventh Heaven.”

He chuckled, “You know how kids are.” I pressed my lips together. Kids, they were something that I wanted. I didn’t know how they were besides the flock’s children. It was so rare for a dragon to be able to carry a pregnancy to term. We were lucky, after I’d put a stop to the arranged marriages that the council had ordered. My flock had flourished. Once they’d been able to go out into the world and choose mates for themselves. The gods had blessed us. There were nine children born in the last few years. Three more on the way.
