After half an hour, I finally arrived at the mall, ready for some shopping. Stepping out of the car, I gazed at the magnificent entrance. Perhaps, once Sierra became Luna, I would bring her here and let her choose whatever her heart desired. Just as I was about to enter the mall, I froze upon hearing a familiar voice—a voice I had hoped never to hear again. "Hey, Dean, old friend, it's been a while." I turned around and came face to face with Drake. He hadn't changed a bit. His dark blue eyes and gray hair intrigued me, as I wondered about his fondness for that color.

"Dave and Vivianne McBride, the owners of the multimillion McBride Foods passed away early this morning. The couple were said to have been returning from a business summit when they got into an accident. Chief of Police, Bruce Dickinson, says that there were skid marks found on the road. Based on that, he believes that the accident had happened while they were trying to avoid a collision with an incoming vehicle. "The couple is survived by their son, Drew McBride, the famous game developer…"

Eden McBride, a bubbly, quirky and fun loving girl with a beautiful face and perfect body features. She had spent her 23 years of life coloring with the rules. She had a pretty simple goal for her life which was to get her parents to open the bakery, they dreamed of once. Her father, Stephanie McBride was crippled after getting into an accident and from then, her mother, Evangeline McBride had taken the charge of the family. Besides studying, Eden had done part time jobs to support her mother financially.

"George Whitman—" A bespectacled, overweight, silver-haired man in an ill-fitting but expensive suit stood up, extended his sweaty palm and smiled at her. "No," Eden shook his hand firmly and walked to the end of the table where Liam sat, took an empty glass and poured herself a shot, stunning everyone with her boldness. The next week or so I didn’t see Desmond. Marcus said he was busy with Alpha James and was rarely in the territory anymore. It made it easier to go back to avoiding him that way.
