Cassandra, as always, would take advantage of people's weaknesses. Eleanor, who had been about to leave after going to the bathroom, put her phone away in her bag after hanging up. Raising her head, she looked in the mirror — her hair was a little messy, and there was a trace of struggle in her eyes. She took a deep breath. Lowering her head, she splashed cold water on her face. About ten minutes or so later, Eleanor returned to the coffee shop from the bathroom. What she didn't realise was that when the waitress in the coffee shop saw her return to sit opposite Writer Vane, a strange look flashed in her eyes.

And standing in front of it was Eleanor. She wasn't wearing a lab coat. She was wearing a simple, dark dress, her hair disheveled, her eyes sunken. She looked like a woman who had been living in a bunker for weeks, which she had. She didn't look up when we entered. She was staring at the glass cylinder with a look of terrifying, maternal longing. "She’s almost ready," Eleanor said. Her voice was a dry rasp, devoid of its usual melodic control. "The lattice is 98% mapped. She won't have your flaws, Isabella. She won't have the Sterling corruption. She’ll be the perfect archive."

Looking at the beautiful woman in front of him, he opened his mouth and could only spit out, "I love her like my life depends on it, and will treat her right." Eleanor's face was all celebration as she set the glass of water down in her hand, "That's good, that's good, I can't be out too long, that's all I have to say." She put her hood back on and left the purple garden. Matthew watched her back, the beauty was a little slumped. Eleanor, this woman, is as soft as a doddering flower, initially all her expectations are dependent on men. But for the sake of her daughter, this dodder flower began to grow slowly, she has been holding back for so many years, only to find a way to save Serena.

Eleanor adjusted the collar of Lydia’s crimson blazer carefully. “I’ve seen every woman who tried to climb this mountain,” she murmured. “The heiresses. The models. The socialites. Predators dressed as wives.” Her lips curved slowly. “Only you survived the climb.” Lydia’s pulse stuttered. “Only you,” Eleanor finished, “are worthy of becoming Mrs. Wolfe.” The room fell silent. Even Adrian looked momentarily stunned. Then Eleanor smiled sharply. “Now,” she said, “let’s show the Clarkes what happens when they wake the entire pack.”

I wonder what he’s been telling her. “Let me get some more pillows then we’ll get you settled comfortably so you can get some food in you,” Eleanor says cheerfully. “We’re very lucky those invaders didn’t manage to carry you off.” Her face grows somber, “I just wish Miss Tyra and Lucille were as lucky. We can only hope no harm will come to them.” I’d been so lost in my own thoughts, I forgot Eleanor is in here. She’s very pretty, tall and a tad plump, with a riot of dark curls surrounding her face. She’s also extremely capable and has me settled with a minimum of fuss.

Chapter 21 Eleanor Walsh was an industrious and ambitious woman with a competitive spirit. It was one of the reasons she was well respected among her peers. She had a relentless drive, always aiming to outdo herself and those around her. Settling for mediocrity was never an option. Lady Eleanor might not have told you this, but you can’t fight the will of a Goddess’s wish. Now.” He meets my furious glare for a long moment, then shrugs. “Very well.”

Klaus’ POV It was as if some unseen hand had pulled her away from me, a force sharp and sudden that left my skin tingling with unease. One moment, Eleanor’s fingers brushed mine, warm, soft, and the next, she was sprawled across the deck, her body crumpled. The air still hummed with the fading echoes of the storm she tamed, and I couldn’t shake the certainty that settled into my bones: Eleanor was a witch. A powerful one. And if the Capris coven proved to be a myth or a disappointment, she was my contingency plan, a living, breathing weapon I could wield.
