I stroked his head and it's eyes closed, purring away. “That's Elisabeta.” Michael said as he gave me the glass of liquor and I let out a snort, laughing at the name. Elisabeta was Dracula's wife before he was turned into a vampire in the book. He sat down on the other couch opposite of me and eyed me curiously. “What do you want with me?” I blurted out and I hurriedly took a gulp from my drink. The liquor burned my throat and I let out a cough after swallowing the big gulp, tears stinging my eyes. After waiting for my cough fit to end, Michael finally spoke. “This is not the life I wanted for you, Beatrice.”
