For the pain inflicted upon me has become the fuel that will ignite my transformation, propelling me toward a future where my strength will be my guiding light. POV: LIAM Reluctantly, I found myself compelled to attend the gathering, as it was my solemn duty as the Lycan King. The Dawn Rise pack, while not boasting superior strength or wealth, managed to thrive and survive through the strength of their alliances. Despite the Alpha and Luna's lack of intellectual acumen, their dedication and earnest efforts as leaders were admirable. As the celebratory event commenced, an announcement reverberated through the air, revealing the decision to pass on the mantle of Alpha to their son, Dylan. It w

I fell to his feet, desperately asking him to show some compassion towards me, but Lucretia stood from her seat and angrily grabbed my arm, dragging me out of Father's chamber. When we left the chamber, she roughly grabbed my chin, and looked at me with a hatred so thick I could taste it on my tongue. “I want you gone, Ophelia. I want you out of this picture. So, you will choose between leaving as the Lycan King's mate or leaving through a means that involves gutting your insides out, which I find even more interesting. Either way, I'll get what I want”, she hissed, after which she pushed me to the ground and walked away.

Everyone in this pack treated me like the Spawn of a murderer, viewing me with pure disgust. A sudden, terrifying wave of anxiety crashed into my chest. Could I actually be his Queen? Goldcrest was the royal capital. The most powerful Alphas and Lunas in the world resided there. Could the royal court ever accept a male Omega as their Queen? An Omega whose wolf was cursed, sealed away, and completely incapable of shifting? If I went with him, I wouldn't just be facing Catherine and Kane—I would be facing the judgment of the entire Lycan kingdom.

Their Alpha killed the former Lycan king, so he had the ability to kill the current Lycan king too. Alice thought that Dave was asking too much. Lycans coming here were not good for their realm. Lycans were not like other ranks. They were very antagonistic. They had powers to kill anyone. They could not match normal wolves. If they let them enter here, they would start to live here and rule over poor villagers. But then Alice's eyes fell on the Gamma of the pack. He looked down as if he was ashamed of something. In all these times, she had never seen this man helpless. He was the Gamma of this pack, he was the biggest fighter here. He was not afraid of anyone and always looked proud.

She’s too loyal for that. Alpha Jameson’s expression contorts into an ugly mask of outrage. “You bitch!” he says, tone hollow with rage. “You weak, pathetic, ungrateful bitch! No she-wolf has ever refused any offer from me before. Who do you think you are, you worthless–” Gamma Everly draws in a deep breath as though bracing herself for something painful. “I, Gamma Everly Wright, sworn protector of the Lycan Royal Family, reject you–”

Shock flashed across his face. Then disbelief. “Your Majesty,” he said quickly, lowering his head. The pack warriors immediately followed his example. Sunny, the Lycan King, watched him calmly. “So,” he said slowly. “You must be the Alpha who rejected her.” The tension in the air became suffocating. Alpha Sunny straightened slightly. “Yes, Your Majesty.” Lycan King Sunny tilted his head. “Tell me something.” “Yes?” “Why?” The question hung heavily between them. Alpha Sunny frowned slightly.

Moving to my other side. The vampire laughed. Dark. Amused. "How charming. The Lycan King and the rejected Alpha playing protector." His red eyes locked on mine. "But she doesn't need protection from me. She needs me to complete her." "Complete me?" I found my voice. "I don't even know you." "Not yet." He moved closer. Fast. Too fast. One second he was ten feet away. The next he was right in front of me. "But you will, little goddess."

I continued. “Strong," she was getting the rhythm. “And who's your mate?” I continued. "You are. You… Darius Wolfe," she said after seeing my raised brow. "Who is he?” I asked. "The Lycan King,” she answered. “Strong or weak?" "Strong,” she answered. "Do you want revenge on those who have hurt you so far? Do you want revenge for what they did to your parents? Do you want revenge for making you grow up without your people?

Taking a deep breath, I tried to steady myself despite the fear coursing through my veins. His red eyes were still fixed on me, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of apprehension and curiosity about this mysterious prince. "Reject the engagement," he repeated, his voice firm and unyielding. "Why should I?" I managed to say, my voice trembling slightly. "Why should I do what you say?" A sinister smile spread across his face, revealing his sharp fangs. "Because I am the next lycan king, and what I say goes. You don't have a choice."

"You rejected her, and you know the tradition, you know that once a mate is rejected and turned rogue, she no longer belongs to you, it's like cutting any cord that holds you both together, and even if you want to get her back, don't think..." "You don't think, father! No, tell me, because the last I remember, you rejected mother once, and you both came back together later, so why is my case different, huh?" Conri couldn't control the anger and rage burning inside him. "You see, I don't think you really know who her husband is, I asked one of the Gamma's to make their findings, Conri, there is no way we can temper with the Moonlight pack, Cullian is not just a Lycan, he is the king, he leads
