Emilia. Elisa had seen her before—a quiet maid who kept to herself. Now, she stood in front of her, uncertain, shifting the tray in her grip. “My Lady,” Emilia said softly, her gaze darting to the bruises forming along Elisa’s arms. “Alpha Kieran sent me to tend to you.” Elisa exhaled, pushing away the sting of her injuries. “You don’t have to call me that.” Emilia hesitated but nodded. “I brought you water and food.”

Yet, to Emilia, everything was crystal clear. She knew she had abilities others lacked—her sense of smell and hearing were sharper than most, and her eyes were most valuable. I instantly knew something was definitely not right. "We need you in there ...now!" I wasted no time in dashing towards the room and pushing the door open. Emilia was sitting at the edge of the bed, surrounded by a number of nurses, who were trying to get her to calm down. She had a pained expression on her face and her long, brown hair was a disheveled mess. My heart dropped at the sight of the woman before me. As if sensing my presence, she slowly lifted her eyes towards my direction. The nurses took steps away from her, clearing a path for me to reach her.

She had a nice smile. “Oh my God! Is this where Knox asked you to stay!” she put her hands on her chest I and Anna stood staring at her. Who was she? “Sorry for not coming to the royal mating custom. My name is Emilia Camden, Aunt to the alpha” My eyes widened. She was the iron lady in charge when her brother was in charge. Immediately I and Anna bowed. “Your Highness,” she tried to stop me from bowing. “No, no,” she smiled. “You don't have to. Please call me a mother.” Her voice was deep and classy. I slowly smiled. Can I trust her or was she like her nephew?

“But he had a weakness. They all do. And I’m going to find it.” Mrs. Williams placed a supportive hand on her shoulder. “We’re with you.” The next few days, Emma, Alex, and Mrs. Williams began planning their counterattack, they gathered every bit of intelligence they could find. I helped her forward, She signaled me to help her leave the house, but before we even got to the door, we were stopped by the maids "Sorry, Miss Emilia, you are not allowed to go out." Emilia ignored their words and just showed me a smirk: "See, Sam, I'm like a bird locked in a cage now, devoid of freedom. I don't know where the hell this Ben came from, daring to brazenly imprison me like this." I let out a sigh. "We'll talk about that later, did you have anything to do with Hill?" Emilia shook her head: "who is Hill?" she asked. "My half-brother, Hailey's brother"

The sun had only just begun to edge past the horizon, bleeding soft pink into a bruise blue canvas. I wanted to stay like that, alone, silent. But the scrape of heels against stone told me solitude was never meant for me. “Out early, aren’t we?” Her voice was light, musical even, but I didn’t miss the weight underneath. Emilia. Damien’s sister moved like she didn’t belong in this place. She wore a long silk robe the color of wine, its belt dragging loose at her side, her hair tumbling down her shoulders in soft waves. She looked like she had stepped out of a painting untouched by blood or fear yet every time her eyes locked with mine, I saw something sharper, something that knew far too much

the butler said. Damian dismissed him and continued his work. After a few hours, Amelia woke up from her nap. After sitting up, she notices two girls dressed in a maid uniform, one who looks matured and the other one seems like the same age as her. "You're awake, madam?" The black-haired one said. "Who are you?" Amelia asks. "Oh right. We hadn't introduced ourselves" the brown-haired one said "My name is Helga, young madam. And this one is Maisy. We were chosen to be the young madam's maids" the black-haired one said and pointed at the one beside her.

I gave her a confusing stare. "You're wife of Davian Knight,son of the bastard who ruined my mother's life."She said and the earth slipped under feet. "But I won't treat you differently because of my hatred for Knights.I know are tied in forced knot and my brother is someone you deserve."She said walking ahead of me. Her words left me startled. What she meant by I deserving Damien and in what way? "You two girls took centuries to fetch a couple of bunches."Emelia looked over us from the pot she was stirring with spatula.She was boiling the pasta and the maid who came to call us was chopping vegetables silently.
