A FEW MINUTES LATER, Camila stood in front of the imposing door, having rung the bell three times now and left hanging in silence.
The place was oddly quiet—no sound of music, no sign of guests anywhere. Didn't Antonio say he was having a party?
This better not be a joke.
Her hand hovered on the doorbell, ready to ring it again, and just then, the door swung open. A little boy, with a couple of his front teeth missing, beamed up at her. His smile was wide and genuine, making his eyes crinkle. He immediately looked behind him.
"Antonio! Camila is here!" he squealed, bouncing on the balls of his feet and gesturing for her to come in.
