Streets were narrow but straight as they led into the town. The main road of Loctar, called the Benian Highway, began at the market and ran through the entire city and out the other side. It did not end until it was in the far North, well beyond Rylltòl and even farther north to the ancient protective Semian city of Putai. The Benian Highway was built by the ancient Coths to open up trade between the lands of the North and those of the South, which were divided by the high precipices of the Relp Mountains that stretched westward out of the Leptonis Mountains.
