Kayden's POV For some reason, my heart raced faster than it should have. It didn't make sense. It was her family in that bed, not mine. So why did my chest feel tight? Why did something feel… off? Then I heard it. A sharp, broken scream. Arya. I rushed back into the room without thinking. But by that time, I knew immediately. I was too late. Arya was on her knees beside the bed, gripping her grandmother’s hand like she could force life back into her.
