Without acknowledging the three men, he bent over Ian and slowly passed his hands a few inches over him while chanting. “No!” Angel screeched as she raced through the flames toward them. “Stop that! He’s mine!” Eluwilussit stood erect and held his hands in front of him - as if to motion for her to stop- while he bellowed words that no one understood. The tortured spirits bodies were still in flames as they stopped running to and fro and focused on Angel.

Finn told me. After a few chats with him, I came by the place where Princess Scarlette and Cordelia were. It looked like they were holding some pieces of bread as they noticed me approaching. Crordelia was the first one to wave to my direction. “Miss Revington!” Cordelia called on to me. “And what are you too doing?” I chuckled as I saw who they were giving the bread too. A grizzly brown bear with a friendly soft face sits right inside the fences as it chews on a piece of bread. Princess Scarlette then quickly flew a bread as the bear stretches its arms out to catch it that made me severely amazed.

I murmur. Then the menu glitches. Static cuts across the screen. The text flickers, warps into symbols I don’t recognize. A soft laugh fills the void. “Ethan.” I freeze. “What—” The grid ripples. A figure steps through a woman made of light with long hair drifting like it’s underwater. “I’m Eris,” she says, voice gentle. “You found us.” “Us?” My throat dries. Another voice answers. “Me.” A man materializes beside her, taller and darker.

Chapter 1️⃣1️⃣ ❤️ The Scent of Doubt ❤️ “You’re really…a ghost?” Liora asked, her brows drawn together, voice low with disbelief. Erezhul’s smirk deepened, slow and confident, like he was enjoying the moment. “Hmm,” he hummed, nodding just once. “But…but we fought back in the forest,” she said, confused. “You grabbed me. Your hands felt real. Solid.”

“Welcome to Zone 1 , darling. The Playground of the Damned.” I blinked at him. “The what?” He chuckled, though it wasn’t funny at all. “The Playground. Zone 1 . The system calls it Erevos. Fancy sci-fi name for a death trap, if you ask me.” My chest tightened. “What the hell do you mean, system?” He stood and pointed toward a massive screen glowing at the far end of the room. The light from it painted everyone’s faces in eerie blue. “See that?” he said. “That’s the Overseer. The AI that runs this shitshow.”

“Hurry, Aelys—something’s stirring.” The star-rift pulses, its void-energy surging, the Veilheart crystal’s monument dimming, its vines cracking. A hymn echoes—cold, radiant—the Void Herald’s voice, taunting. “Child of the Veil, your sister’s lie crumbles—her discarded essence rises!” Starborn scream as Erynn’s faction emerges, their twin-star eyes gleaming, their blades pulsing with rift-energy, their hymns aligned with the Herald’s. Erynn, tall and defiant, steps forward, her starborn aura blazing, her voice a challenge. “Aelys, give us Kalia’s relic—it’s the Herald’s key!” Kalia’s orb sparks, her aura flaring, her voice fierce. “Never!” I step between them, my blade raised, my hymn mortal

The Obsidian Belt was not a place for the living; it was a cosmic junkyard of jagged, iron-rich asteroids and the frozen ghosts of ancient tectonic shifts. Standing upon this oily, undulating surface were the thousands of Eric Parsleys, their figures varying from transparent ghosts to solid, ink-drenched titans.
