I muttered to the empty room, turning my face into the smooth leather. The boredom was practically suffocating. I needed a distraction, and fast. My mind immediately drifted to Enchanted Kingdom—or EK, as everyone calls it. It was only about an hour's drive down to Santa Rosa, Laguna, spanning twenty-five hectares of massive rollercoasters and carnival lights. It was the perfect escape. I grabbed my phone from the coffee table and opened FaceTime, hitting the group call button for my two best friends. "Hey, girls!" I had no doubt on my mind that it wasn’t my project. I went back to a nearby supermarket to buy fruits for Wonder.
