I Skipped My Mom's Deathbed for an Esports Title

I Skipped My Mom's Deathbed for an Esports Title

"Do you know how dangerous that place is? When the scaffolding fell on her, she was still clutching the 300 dollars she'd just been paid. She kept calling your name, saying now she could buy you another toilet bowl!" The impassioned speech made a few distant relatives tear up. The onlooking reporters and fans also began pointing at me and whispering among themselves. "Oh my god, is that true? That's so cold!" "He'd abandon his own mother for money?" "He's definitely the most ungrateful player in esports." I listened to all the murmurs, my face expressionless. "So what? She went and got herself killed. What's that got to do with me?" No sooner had the words left my mouth than a loud slap land

The Perfect Death

The Perfect Death

After catching my supposedly frigid wife, Emmy Winslow, aroused by our household robot butler, I swallowed my disgust and sent the machine to a destruction facility. I never expected that decision to cost her life. On the way to chase after the robot, Emmy was involved in a horrific car accident and died at the scene. From that day on, I became notorious in our social circle as the jealous husband who drove his wife to her death. Five years passed. Night after night, I tortured myself by wondering if she would still be alive had I not been so petty over a machine. Until today, while discussing business at a private club, I passed a half-open VIP suite and heard one of Emmy's closest frie

The Remaining

but it’s too late the weird thing about this is that you can see your body inside the coffin, then it is even weirder when you attend your own funeral I can see my friends crying, my former classmates, and finally, my ex over there crying because of my loss “John Carl why did you die suddenly? I will help you rank up on Mobile Legends, right!?”-David (crying) I’m stronger than you! “Poor you. I know stupid people like you die easily but it’s too early.” - Phil “Sorry !!! sorry John Carl !! I know you were hurt when I turned you down but I hope you let me apologize first!!- Dessa (crying)

Traveller Of Two Worlds

Traveller Of Two Worlds

The usual admiration salute. The Eloesan people on the other hand had witnessed the most fearful experience in their entire life. Which is understandable, because after all, the thing that stood behind me were a big dark miasma, but inside that hazing miasma of light absorbing miasma, was a death reaper, wearing a weathered black hoodie, underneath that seasoned hoodie, were pale skull, with the bluish green fire as eyes and as it opened it’s bonny mouth the dark miasma constantly falling out, and on each of it’s hand, my death reaper were holding one it’s left hand a rose soaked with dripping red bloods, and on the left was the sharpest ever metallic rapier. And the entire parts that were v

How To Save A Life

How To Save A Life

I answered curtly. "Brilliant." He grinned grimly, showcasing his rows of sharp teeth. Dazzlingly white and pointed. The blank piece of paper that sat on top of the briefcase began to bleed with words and formed sentences. "I, Death, agree to grant Reniella De Vega a single wish if she successfully collects the soul of Deshawn Cervantes within the time period," he read out from memory. Then, he fished a ballpoint pen from the inside of his suit jacket and placed it next to the paper.

Death Contract

So he had to die with my strength. "Albus Wesley, son of Alejandro Wesley. As one of the angels of death. I am reaping your soul, today. You may now perish in the hellish fire of hell." When my hand finally caught fire Wesley was screaming in pain. And as it finally disappeared his body sank to the floor due to my heavy presence and determination. I have to get to hell, this is my only way to know the truth. Things that creatures in the ministry of death cannot say.

Azen said, explaining the information he managed to grasp in this time. “Zero, Obsidian Beast, Tristan Snyder. One, Death, Unknown.” He paused, glaring at Kriss who acted cool. Azen knows that Kriss knows who Death is but refused to tell for unknown reason but it was distressing to fathom why. Kriss narrowed his eyes, warning him to continue and sighing, he continued, “Two, Communicator, Daphne Sparks. Three, Unknown. We don’t even know its title.” He frowned. They cannot understand where they failed, how they cannot find a single clue against this person.

“Tell me, damn it!” The man sighed heavily. “ Alpha Eskaal's war... It was a disaster. The Lycan Kingdom forces overwhelmed him, and... and he didn't make it. My lord, Alpha Eskaal is dead.” A heavy silence filled the room, broken only by the sound of rain tapping against the windowpane.

I enjoy how the author portrays the female lead with a different persona. In werewolf novels, the female lead is typically innocent and powerless, but the author opted to create an unconventional FL character, someone bold and fearless. It's absolutely adorable!

Intriguing, I have read lots of wolf stories abd none has gotten my attention like this book has. It is funny and captivating, especially the "tasteless strawberry line in the book." I will keep reading, I recommend to everyone looking for something different ...
