The parchment was ancient, yellowed, cracked at the edges, the ink faded to a pale brown. The script was the old tongue, sharp and angular. In the margin, someone had drawn a crescent moon inside a circle. "What am I looking at?" Lois asked. "The reason I disappeared for five days." Rowan's finger traced the text. "This is a fragment of the White Wolf prophecy. My father mentioned it once as a bedtime story as a pup. Thought it was a myth.”

From the looks of its big white fluffy tail, the rabbit would be somewhere between 6’9 or 7’7 tall. I clutch the book tight on my chest again and glanced at the book. This would not be enough for a weapon on a 7’7 rabbit. I’m only a short 5’4 woman for god's sake! The white fluffy tail twitched, I stiffen and all my muscles froze while I held my breath as the shadow of a white animal loomed up.
