AUTUMN'S POV His voice was low when he said it — “You shouldn’t be here, Autumn.” “Then stop looking at me like that,” I fired back. He didn’t blink. “Like what?” “Like you’re about to do something you’ll regret.” He stepped closer, close enough for me to feel the heat off him. “I already regret it.” And then he kissed me. It wasn’t gentle. It wasn’t sweet. It was the kind of kiss that felt like a secret we’d never escape from. The next morning, my mom came home glowing, flashing a ring. And beside her stood him. The same man who kissed me like I belonged to him. “Autumn,” she said, smiling proudly. “Meet your new stepbrother.” Everything inside me froze — except his gaze. He didn’t even flinch. Just stared, silent, daring me to say something. Now, we live under the same roof. Same walls. Same tension that hums like electricity every time we’re alone. He says it’s wrong. I clenched my eyes shut as he brought me to the counter to check out. "Come, Ambrosia." The man purred after a moment. Shaking, I followed him, trying to take in any and every small detail of the outside world… "You can do this. Pretend it's just a bad dream… You know how to survive." I whispered to myself, as I followed my new Master to what was sure to be my death.

The ER receives a patient in the middle of the night. Despite being the doctor on duty, I use the excuse of suffering from a stomachache to duck into the washroom. Instead, the new pretentious doctor, Scarlett York, is the one taking the lead in saving the patient's life. In my previous life, I put in all of my effort to save the patient's life. That was how I managed to revive him. But when the patient woke up, he claimed that I had broken four of his ribs, so he demanded compensation from me. The hospital also suspended me from my position and made me reflect on my actions just because I drank a bottle of glucose that I paid for. At the same time, Scarlett accused me of selling the medical equipment, which led to me getting fired by the hospital. To make things worse, the patient's family decided to get revenge on me by stabbing me with a blade. When I open my eyes again, I've returned to the day the patient is sent to the ER.
