Carlene said. "Cockroaches are definitely scarier. Look, I'm developing goosebumps just talking about it," April said baring her arms and they moved closer to confirm. "Wow, you are a scaredy cat. I mean I get that I hate spiders but I'm not afraid of them to the point of developing goosebumps," Carlene said teasingly. "Oh my God! It's a spider!" April exclaimed, scrambling up in a rush, the others doing the same. Carlene was paralyzed in the position she sat in. She shut her eyes and let out a ear-deafening scream.

Being in that position made my stomach churn. I could hear some soft Italian in the background. I wasn’t so sure how many voices I heard, but I think probably three different voices. “Please don’t harm me” I whimpered in fear with my whole body shivering. My legs itch as well. I also felt stupefied. The conversation in the background all of a sudden ceased. This skyrocketed my anxiety to cloud nine. I gulped down large chunks of saliva repeatedly. “Take her off the chair” a bold voice came through. I couldn’t stop wondering how just a voice could make the hair on my body sprout up and arouse goosebumps.

Some spots were brown and others were black. What was happening? I let out a loud scream, my mouth opened as I let out shriek after shriek. My hands were raised at my side, as though I was scared to touch myself. I watched my skin and waited for the spots to disappear, but instead, goosebumps decorated my skin and the spots remained.

I gulp and clear my throat hastily. I really need answers. “Er... uhm... ‘scuse me,” I whisper, my voice wheezing like a dying kettle. And my arms, covered in goosebumps. Even the goosebumps have got goosebumps. Suddenly it leaps, and appears straight into my face. Again?! I scream again, even louder this time. I haven’t been this scared since I was twelve and fell into a dry well at the back of my grandparents' house. My head’s spinning horribly. I might start to feel nauseous.

But all of a sudden I have sensed something subtle, almost on the periphery of my awareness; the feeling that something is on its way, something is coming, unstoppable, monstrosity; surprising yet unexpected. I was about to turn around and hug him for my appreciation and my intimate feelings when all of a sudden come to a halt. My heartbeat faster and the terrors arise in my whole body and want to shout out and call for help but I can’t make a move.

Staring my reflection on it everything was blurred, I stared around, there were cobwebs. I could hear footsteps down the staircase leading to the basement, and faint laughs from children playing and running around, I cringed at each creak on the old stairs, the noise of the footsteps became calculated, I walked slowly and carefully towards the noise on the basement staircase, I was scared and I could feel goosebumps all over my skin. I froze when a shadow flickered and I across and back to the stairs, maybe it's nothing. I was scared and probably hallucinating, the only light that was present in the basement hall was of the moon. I turned over fearfully when the baby rocking chair behind me

Placing my hand gently over his shoulder, I spoke in a reassuring tone. "Calm down, Vincenzo. Why are you so scared of it? Nothing will happen to you. I'm here, and I'll take care of it." He remained adamant, continuing to shout, "Just throw it out!" His eyes were tightly shut, and he turned away, unable to bear even the sight of the cockroach. It was evident that Vincenzo had a severe phobia, and the fear was taking a toll on him. Goosebumps covered his skin, and his body still trembled from the overwhelming anxiety.

I am trying and trying and trying but failing miserably. Suddenly I felt a hand coming in contact with my bare back. Goose bumps erupted on my skin. My back to his front because of the roughness of the hands I assume it's a male. My mind went straight in frenzy before I could scream his palm captured my mouth muffling my screams. Dread filled my body and I continued to scream.

I would've taken the time to appreciate the movie reference if I wasn't so terrified. Goosebumps covered every inch of my skin. I wanted to scream but nothing left my lips. I gulped. I looked down at the bathtub full of blood, at least that was what it seemed. There was something poking out slightly out of the water. With shaky hands, I reached out and dipped my hand in the water. Feeling something hard in it, I grasped it and pulled it out only to throw it back into the water while I stumbled backwards due to fright.

He chose right anyway. All of a sudden, we started hearing howls and the fear got even worse for me. The hairs on my body stood like they sensed something and were about to attack. Anyone close to me would have noticed the goosebumps on my body as they were not making any effort to be hidden. The sound seemed to be coming from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I looked at Scott in fear and he looked right back at me. I wanted to disappear so badly. Mother's grip became tighter on me like she was trying to give me some extra boost by doing that and it gave me a bit of short-lived warmth.
