And it had nothing to do with the woman and everything to do with the anticipation of the game, even if he was sporting a competent boner for her skills and talents. Paper Gate took its basic concepts from a poem by Edmund Spencer entitled ‘The Faerie Queene.’ Jack had never read the poem and knew nothing about it, but Dianna assured him it didn’t matter. Players wouldn’t have to know anything about the poem to advance in the game. Essentially, the game centered around a teenage girl. Bookish and lonely, she was bullied at school and found her escape in fantastical stories. One gloomy, rainy day, she stumbled into a bookshop—a bookshop she’d never seen before—and was drawn to a book about Fa

There were other writers, researchers, news reporters, and editors who all co-existed to create Fable Magazine. Fable Magazine is the one magazine that has literally everything. New stories, tabloids, fiction stories, and poetry. It was one of a kind and I was proud to be a part of it. I just wished the others would respect me as one of them. I’ve been writing for the online magazine for over a year so it’s not like I'm inexperienced. “Sure,” I said, grabbing my purse off the ground and shouldering it. “I would love to.” “Great. You’re driving,” she said as she backed out of my office.

She saw battles fought in distant lands, intricate spells woven by powerful sorcerers, and moments of profound peace and harmony. As the visions subsided, Sable found herself standing on the edge of a grand library, its shelves filled with countless books and scrolls. The air was thick with the scent of parchment and knowledge. A figure cloaked in robes stood at the center of the library, beckoning her closer. Sable approached cautiously, her eyes searching the figure's face for any signs of deceit. But there was only kindness and wisdom etched upon their features. The figure extended a hand, offering S Sable a thick, leather-bound book. "This is the Book of Ancients," the figure said, their

I sighed "I have a story to tell you." "You’re always telling me the same story." He whispered a bit audible "Not this time I won’t, it’s very interesting, I’m sure you will love it," I said while grabbing the storybook kept on the table. "This looks interesting." I opened to the first page "Once upon a time, there lived three children, Kyle, Lucas, and Charles. They are best friends, they always spend time together until…." "It’s boring." "Okay, I will narrate another story." I grabbed the other storybook and began narrating it

“Or you, I suspect? Tell me, Kaleb, about this little pet of yours. Have you had a taste of her yet? Others are curious.” Hannibal smirks. My gaze locks on his. “Is there something funny about that?” “You’ll address me as lord–” “I will address you as nothing. I have long denounced your church and gods. I am a shifter, which is made clear everyday I spend keeping my kind alive in the Glade.” I edge toward him but turn to face the king before closing the distance between us, adding, “The rules of the games are sacred. Everyone, every king, knows it. They’re written in the blood of the fallen, who come from every background–high fae, lesser fae, and shifters. People like me.” I look at Hanniba

I just decided that my father is suffering from a lot of things but I should add one more to the list, Memory issues. There is absolutely nothing alike between the human school I was attending before I was shipped to this glorified prison yard with a lot of criminals. Just that in here, that is the Faery, an alternate realm, no longer earth, it was deemed as a very good way to best your opponent. It makes children strong.

Regret that the person your soul and wolf is bound to forever is not the right kind of person for you. People forget that Fate doesn’t plan for everyone to have a happy ever after. Fate is not a fairy godmother granting wishes. Some people have to suffer to make the greater plans of the world move. You can’t make everyone happy. So some people, like my poor sister Pen, must be mated to the sadistic bullies of the world because Fate has a higher plan than her daily life.

the witch nods, "but this war is a show of wills. I want to show you all I can, make you all fall. Wolves, dragons, vampires, faes." "Faes are a peaceful kind. They never hold arms." "That's where you are wrong," the witch challenges, "The faes hold unknown magic. That alone should be alarming." "Why?" "I'm searching for a power that is far greater." "The ancient power of the wolves is not yours." "It's not yours either." She rises. The witch whispers and slowly makes her way to me. My body shifts from her dark energy. I'm on my knees before she grabs the sides of my temples. My eyes roll back before a gush of wind swirls in my vision. I gasp for air before I'm sucked in.

Aynyra was sick of non-believers. "Fine," Rhae chuckled. Rhae began reading the book of children's stories, that told great tales of Fae, Faeries, Pixies, Shapeshifters, Draekons and magic of all kinds. It was inspirational for a book of myths as protagonists overcame challenges over challenges. Fae rode Draekons, Shapeshifters were powerful creatures and Pixies were tricksters who challenged any kind of hierarchy in the magical world.
