I'm sure she is remembering the day her best friend wore the gown. Inside the box is one more item. A cloak. The cloak is silver with gold trim. A dragon comes up from the train of the cloak. Its head resting in the center. The dragon is black with red eyes. A golden crown sitting upon his head that matches my mother's; only bigger. A the very bottom of the cloak is a phrase written in Fae. Something I can't speak or read.

The maids said her dress is prettier than anything, it’s whiter and brighter than moonlight!” I closed my eyes tightly, understanding. I’d seen the dress — long, flowing, whiter than white with tiny silver beads that glinted under lights. I had never seen Mommy so pretty… or so scared.
