I greeted Rodrick, my punk friend, and he teased me about not remembering Shane. “Seems like you’ve been flirting with a lot of girls lately that you can’t remember some of them.” He grinned. If he just knew, I barely have time to date women these past few weeks because I am too busy following Shane behind, especially since the incident at the mall happened. I am sure that the enemy of Mr. Croven is just around, watching her intently. I noticed her playing temple run on her phone and interrupted her. She doesn’t really have a choice but to talk to me because her friends are too busy hooking up with people they just met tonight.

Inside was a dream; tall walls, open space, windows so big you could see everything yet nothing at all. The isolation of the property both excited and scared me, and the longer I walked around holding Armani’s hand, the more I began to feel a little hopeful again. I turned back to him "Thank you, Adrian. Goodnight." He looked at me. "Goodnight, Amelia." I nodded once and turned, walking toward my door. I unlocked it, stepped inside, and shut it behind me. I closed my eyes for a second. Then exhaled before opening them. Then a small, traitorous smile curved my lips. Oh well. Two weeks of this fake-relationship arrangement were already behind us. Three and a half months left. That was the deal, pretend to be the perfect, stable couple long enough for Adrian to convince Harrington.
