ARIA I don't know what I am doing, or maybe I do but I don't care. When Arthur suggested creating a scene for the news to keep the company shares high, and customers reaching out more to us, the first idea that had come to my mind was to create a fake relationship. It is a classic, but it always works all the time. Back in school, most of my friends used it to top their ranking among their friends. Arthur also bought the idea, but it was easier for him since he already had a girlfriend, all he had to do was make it public.

"We'll make Davina fall for you in no time." I nodded, still feeling uneasy about the whole thing. But I knew that I had to see it through. For better or for worse, I was in this fake relationship, and there was no turning back. Over the next few weeks, Karla and I put on a great show. We went out to fancy dinners, walked around holding hands, and even took a few photos together to post on social media. I knew that Davina was seeing all of this, and I could tell that she was getting jealous.

But she assured me that it would be beneficial for both of us. Reluctantly, I agreed to her proposal. That made me let out a soft laugh. "Then let's not torture you anymore." I looked at him seriously, "As I said earlier, I have spend a lot of time behind this. I do not want you to have any doubt or confusion about it later. I want to give our fake relationship a chance to become real but we are currently going through a lot of things. It can badly affect our relationship when it's only in it's initial stage. That is why, we will be a real couple after everything is done, at least Sarah's wedding is done. It's only a matter of 3-4 days, hope it's okay with you."

"Well," I said, setting my cup down on the table, "if you're serious about this, we need to set some ground rules. A fake relationship is only as good as its execution." She raised an eyebrow. "Ground rules?" "Non-negotiable," I replied. "Think of it as damage control. Rule one: we stick to the same story, with no improvisation. You've already told your coworkers we're dating, so we need a believable timeline."
