“She’s not a princess.” I sigh out as Rex and Eslpeth start bickering amongst themselves, only to look at Pierce to end my pain. With a smile he shouts out the answer…I think he knew it all along. “Frozen.” “Yes.” I sigh out in relief moving to sit back down next to Pierce. “That’s not fair, you mind-linked.” Rex cries out. “I haven’t marked her yet, so you can’t use that as an excuse.” Pierce leans forward, messing up Rex’s blonde hair affectionately.

Something felt wrong. I turned toward the drink table then the scent hit me. It was sweet and addictive. My wolf growled “Mate.” Realizing it, my entire body froze. The glass slipped slightly in my hand as my wolf slammed against my ribs. No way. I slowly turned and saw Serena standing only a few feet away, laughing with her friends. The mate bond burned through me so hard my knees almost weakened. My mate! Aiden Cross’s girlfriend was my fucking mate! My breathing became uneven then Serena noticed my staring and her smile faded instantly.

We could only hold each other tightly. Noah and I both woke up at some point. He told me he couldn't hold on any longer. I tried my best to call for help by pounding the wall of the pod. However, no one came to save us. The only thing I heard was the revolting sounds of Sienna and Frederic doing the deed right outside the pod. She even boasted to him, "The cryogenic technology will keep him frozen at 25 years old forever. After ten years, I'll bring him back and resume my life with him. It'll be like I never cheated on him."

“If I were truly your enemy, you’d already be bleeding.” Panic flared, white-hot. Selene twisted, raising her hand behind her in pure instinct. The bond pulsed — Rowan’s fire, Lucien’s frost — colliding inside her chest. A spear of shimmering frost exploded from her palm, grazing Lucien’s coat and pinning it to the stone wall behind him with a violent crack. Lucien’s silver eyes widened, then gleamed with delighted hunger. “Now that,” he said, tugging himself free and brushing frost from his shoulder, “was exquisite.”

The smell of burning wood and fresh sawdust pulled Frostina out of her week-long sleep. Frostina opened her bright blue eyes, her neck throbbing with agonizing pain. Her pampered body had gone into a deep shock-induced coma after her terrible hanging attempt. She blinked rapidly, trying to clear her blurry vision. As she looked around a simple, cozy wooden cabin, her heart skipped a heavy beat when she saw Buck quietly changing the firewood in the stone hearth.

FALINE sat next to the window while idly petting Astora with her free hand. Fall turned into winter. Large snowflakes were drifting in the wind and sticking to the garden grounds, covering the barren plants and walls in a thin layer white. Ever since she was granted the power of the ice, she could see and feel the winter more than her colleagues could. Snowflakes always fascinated her since then with their never ending patterns and glassy gleam. Faline could stare at them all day.

**Elizabeth's POV** * I think they were frozen at the moment the freezing spell started when they just happened to fly over here 8 years ago. I tried to take the frozen birds home and cook them in a pot, but the results shocked Carolina and me. Even in boiling water, the ice did not melt. It seems that the ice will not melt no matter how many 8 years pass unless the destined savior shows up and kisses Carolina's brother Caleb to lift the Freezing Spell.

It had taken Frost years to get over the pain and betrayal Right now, Frost just wanted to strangle the woman that was holding on to him and he was doing everything in his will to control himself. He very gently removed the hands holding him. He then walked towards Jasmine and holding her by her waist, turned to Vinca. "Let me introduce you to my fiancée and soon-to-be wife Vinca", he said with a smile on his face. Vinca, not understanding what just happened turned her head slowly and looked at him in shock. Leo, with his mouth wide open, stared at Frost as if he had just developed two heads.

“Zara… she was cut by it.” Her face turned into something I had not seen before. Her lips shook open, then she gasped bringing her hand to her mouth “Oh no.” I repeated myself like a chant, “It’s fine. She’s fine. Just a little cut. I bandaged her up. It stopped bleeding.” But she didn’t relax. “No, Freya. This is bad. Very, very bad.” Now she was scaring me. “What are you saying?” She swallowed as her voice dropped low. “That vase… Zac is obsessed with it.”
