he rasps.
My name in that ragged voice does something awful to my insides.
“You were having a nightmare,” I say. “I heard you through the wall.”
His gaze skims over me, taking in the tank top, the bare legs, the jacket.
The jacket.
His jaw tightens almost imperceptibly. “You went through the closet.”
“Congratulations, Sherlock,” I say. “You want to tell me why my clothes are hanging in your murder villa like trophies?”
“And here I thought we were having a touching moment,” he says, voice rough. “You rushing to wake me, worried about my beauty sleep.”
