Mavericks POV Valerie is such an idiot… I can’t believe she called me an idiot when in fact, she is the bigger fool here. Valerie's POV After days of traveling, we finally reached the sanctuary. But as we emerged from the forest, my heart sank. Everything was in ruins. The once-beautiful buildings were now crumbling and overgrown with vines. The streets were littered with debris, and the air was thick with the scent of decay. I felt a wave of despair wash over me. This was supposed to be my pack's safe haven, their home. But now it was nothing but a ghost town. Diavolo's hand found mine, his grip tight.
