For hundreds of years, witches have been a sub species to the vampire race, used as slaves to do the bidding of the undead creatures; but when one witch catches the eye of the vampire Prince, all that could change. The very way the world was run will be erupted into chaos, throwing off the balance that so many had died to protect. The novel consists of several mini-stories about therapy sessions at a therapy clinic named "Soulmate", but the letters "m-a-t-e" were broken in a storm. Each mini-story is narrated by both the psychologists and the patients, describe the patients' worldview, why they do what seems "mentally ill" to us. We often say that the patients' head is abnormal, that their way of thinking is so weird. But is there any possibility that it's because they received different (whether right or wrong) information, so they react differently? Is that just because we "normal people" haven't got enough understanding about this world? Throughout the story, we could see that therapy sessions are a two-way arrow. While the experts are affecting the patient, the patient is also influencing them,“When you look deeply into the darkness, the deep darkness is also looking into you". The story does not make any conclusion about who is right or which world is real, maybe all of them are real, maybe they are all virtual, or maybe, it all doesn't matter. Isn't the world where we live? Wherever you live, that's your world.

Because I made Sam Whitaker's "perfect girl" take a cold shower, he threw me inside a freezer and locked the door. "Nancy caught a cold, so now I'm going to make you suffer with her!" I desperately clawed at the freezer door, screaming for help, but all I could see was Nancy Bullocks' lips moving. "Sam cares too much about me, so there's nothing I can do to plead on your behalf. Even though she does more than those in her crew she is alone and an outsider because they fear her. When the Captain of another station goes missing they send her on a rescue mission only for her to find that the man she is sent to save is the only one who belongs to her. She will be the first of her kind to experience the bond that a dragon can have with their mate. Igneous has never come from a loving family. Over his twenty eight years he has spent more time away from his parents than with them. When he goes missing after the rescue they come to his aid and have him removed from Magma not knowing that it threatens his life. After a harsh truth is revealed he is returned to her and once bound he is able to see her true purpose. Magma becomes more than just his mate and becomes the keeper of the past to give all dragons hope that someone is out there for them. Igneous gives her all the things she wanted in life while she gives him what he didn’t know he was missing. They are the first dragon and human couple inspiring more to come.

It was just around that time when the world was screaming "Happy new year!" In the year 2000, Aurora felt the world crumble. The person she cherished the most, the one she loved and supported cheated on her, and finding out, her happiness was taken from her, her soul turned blue, and sadness crept into her eyes. Darkness fell around her like a curtain and death filled her innocent mind. Aurora walked the streets, blank and hoping for things to end.
