"The documented conduits from the original attempts — before the bond was always wrong for the purpose — they described it afterward as carrying weather. The sensation of something large moving through you that does not belong to you but is not harming you either."
Kael nods. He has been quiet for most of the preparation hour. Not withdrawn — present, but directed inward, the way he goes when he is gathering himself for something that requires everything he has.
