REJECTED ONCE, CLAIMED TWICE
I asked, beyond irritated by her show of affection when I was not exactly in the place to decently love her and frustrated by her mere irritating presence.
“No. I lost my appetite,” she replied, her back towards me.
“Sure,” I sarcastically drawled. “Lost your appetite after your wolf marked me and fed on me,” I added.
“Yeah. I am pretty mad at her too. You tasted as bitter as your words,” Joy did not hold back either. Her wolf accepted me as her mate, not her annoying human.
This was so frustrating.
