I went to my room, played my favorite song, took a shower, got into my PJs, dried my hair, tried them on in a braid, and hopped onto the bed with my laptops and snacks. This was my kind of Netflix and Chill. When I opened my eyes to my phone’s caller tune, the first thing that came to my eyes was darkness. It was the darkest night I had ever seen. I checked the time with one eye and the other one didn’t reciprocate; the time was ticking at 2 am. I received the call without checking the name as my eyes were protesting to open. “Hello,” I murmured in sleep. “Did you call him?” “Who?”

“No, no other symptoms. I’ve been feeling more tired than normal recently, but I think that just has to do with my schedule.” “Get some rest tonight,” Felix said. “You’ve been working so hard lately, I’m sure it’s just exhaustion. I’ll call the royal physician to see if he can come check you out in the morning.” I nodded and settled into bed next to him. “I hope you’re right. Where are you off to in the morning?” Felix sighed and rubbed his temples. “I’m heading to Wisteria to aid with some of the border closings there. We’re hoping to place a mist over the magical kingdoms to really shield us from prying eyes.”

Felix bit hard at the coils around him, trying to break free, but pain shot through the large wolf as the coils grew tighter and more painful. Seeing Felix's struggle, he forced himself to his feet and swung his weapon with deadly accuracy, slashing further at the wound in the witch's neck. Felix fell to the ground, limping towards him before collapsing and returning to his normal form. "Felix!" he shouted, leaning on his weapon as he bent down and lifted the wolf into his arms, even though bending down made his head spin. Feeling a sense of foreboding creep up on him as he stared at the wolf, Mike muttered his lover's name anxiously, "Selene."

Austin and Spencer exchanged a look, frowning at Felix’s reaction as the old wizard walked ahead. Austin growled, “Hey, old man, what do you mean by that, huh?” “Did you just make fun of me?!” Spencer demanded. Felix didn’t speak but his smile was enough to make them feel like he was silently labeling them virgins. Felix looked over his shoulder and smirked. “Just my nine hundred years of experience talking. Those who never had any experience with love and hate cute couples end up with extremely cute soulmates.” Spencer choked, and Austin was left speechless as Felix’s laughter echoed down the hallway.

“You may talk if ask you, okay?” A smile curves on Felix face and said, “Thanks. My name is Felix. I am a great hunter from the village of High Mountain – Human Tribe.” “Wait, you’re saying that there’s more with you? A village of humas?” “Yes, that’s right. Are you going to kill us all?” The way Felix said it, it’s like nothing serious about asking it. Eudora feels weird and perplex at the same time, “Why would I do that?” “You are different. You can project and manipulate lightning in your hands easily. By that, you can slaughter the whole village and make us as your prey if you’re going to spare our life.”

The warrior looks at him confused, Felix runs his hand down his face and says, “Slave 1, bring her to me.” The warrior bows and walks away. Felix sighs and walks behind the desk, looks at something and then picks up the phone. I walk over to the window and notice that it is starting to get dark. We have done a lot in a very short amount of time and my instinct about Felix was paying off. Morpheus surprises me when he growls low, “He will be even better in two years when his mate comes of age… But she will already be by his side…” He then steps back once more, totally confusing me. Felix then puts the phone down and says,

He walked closer and placed the gun tip on the man’s shoulder. “Raise your hands.” Felix said putting his flashlight in his pocket and slowly turning the man. His eyes widen when he saw the man he bumped into earlier there on the road.
