“Silas!!” I tried to grip his arm, but his skin rippled with the strain of holding back his wolf. His teeth bared in a feral snarl. “She will pay with her life,” he spat, and before I could answer, his form twisted, bones breaking, fur bursting forth. In seconds, Fenrir stood in his place, massive and terrible, eyes glowing like two burning suns.
He didn’t even glance back at me before leaping into the darkness, claws ripping through the earth as he chased her scent.
