Shards of Time

Shards of Time

Aside from being physically adept, heirs must be knowledgeable. "This year, the questions are about Japan's history. I know you won't disappoint me." My father said. My eyes widened and I flashed a big smile. There's nothing I love more than history. I'm especially attracted to the Sengoku period where the famous Oda Nobunaga attempted to unify Japan under his rule. My father had given me a map of Japan during the Sengoku period for my birthday last year. It was framed and was hanged just above my desk.

How could he bear it? As Fujino Masayoshi’s rage was on the verge of erupting, several blonde-haired, blue-eyed tourists squeezed their way through the crowd and gave Yang Xiao a thumbs up. “Sir, you are right. This is great!” “We are here to research the plants of Japan. In order to write a holy scripture about plants, you are exactly the same as what is recorded in Japanese classics. Back then, the Japanese paid a special visit to Heaven's Sanctum because they admired its culture!”

I get the holidays are here and it can make things a little hectic. But all the more reason to try and get those chapters out ahead of time as we all would like to continue reading. However at this rate it seems you may lose followers of the book and the money you get by them supporting your novel.

Enslaved to Zion

Enslaved to Zion

"Our kingdom was established in the year 406 after the decade long feud between Emperor Hishimaska and King Endarian. The king sent his army to put an end to the tyrant emperor's misdeeds against his people once and for all, and because of their victory, we are able to live in a peaceful society." Old paintings and images appear of men dressed in ancient clothing. Then, a visual representation shows the brutality of the fight between two armies dressed in vastly different attire. The pictures show that even back in the feudal era, there was a class difference between the soldiers. Images of warriors with swords and shields ahead of men on horseback with bows and arrows, and scenes of many ly

In a couple of months, he wouldn’t be a new teacher anymore, and the whole school would love him. I got what I wanted the following week. After studying his every movement and listening to every detail, I discovered a weakness. You see, in history, we were studying the unit on feudal Japan. Mr. Yamaguchi, of course, being from Japan himself, had already gotten the class into Japanese history with stories of the violent wars between samurai. I knew I had my chance to destroy him when he made the big mistake of bringing in something wrapped in black silk with silver Japanese characters on it.

I loved this Beta too much

I loved this Beta too much

I had never mustered the courage to ask about her age, but I could have sworn that the items from the Japanese Edo period she had inside her house looked like her personal belongings. Aside from the amazing knowledge, Sadako had an enormous collection of spell books. Since she had granted me unconditional access to her library, I went there to read every time I needed to forget. One night, when I woke up screaming and crying from another nightmare, I locked myself in that library and discovered an odd text about something called "the plea for justice." When the morning came, I showed it to Sadako. "This ritual is a sort of prayer," she explained. "A prayer?" I gave her an awkward smile.

I also can't wait update the story. As I remembered, author, you said in end chapter at "How to reject the alpha king" novel, it won't be a prequel story, so I assumed it's just a flashback. The question, how many chapter you create to describe their relationship?

Really underrated, awesome book. I rarely like the follow up beta stories but this was excellent. Kudos on another great work. It has everything. Great pacing, drama, action with lots of twists. This is your 3rd book I’ve read and have enjoyed them all. I will definitely read your other works

SHIN SEKAI: SPARK OF THE NEW WORLD

SHIN SEKAI: SPARK OF THE NEW WORLD

"It all began on this very island about three thousand years ago, back then the island was a great kingdom know as 'Nihon'. It was a kingdom so prosperous that it built a treasury with half of it's landmass. Despite all the prosperity the citizens of this great nation suffered for several years, and it went that way on until a hero called Yen Mikazuchi took over the enormous treasury and made it into a different country called 'Yamato'. Nihon tried to regain control over Yamato but it was impossible. a king was already crowned, an army was already trained, a wall was already built and the country was once a treasury so there was no running out of supplies. this lasted for many years even aft

Frequently Asked Questions

Nothing quite captures the intricate web of duty and class like 'The Tale of Genji'. Sure, it's Heian period, earlier than the typical samurai era, but Murasaki’s work is foundational for understanding the stifling, beautiful prison of court life. The endless layers of rank, the agonizingly precise etiquette governing every interaction—even the color of a sleeve could be a social transgression. It’s less about battle and more about the psychological warfare of living within an unyielding hierarchy.

For a later, grittier look, I often think about 'Musui's Story', the autobiography of a low-ranking, wayward samurai named Katsu Kokichi. It's a messy, hilarious, and brutally honest account of what life was actually like for someone not at the top. He cons merchants, gets into debts, and navigates the underworld of Edo, showing how the rigid social ideals crumbled in the face of real human desperation. It strips the romance right off the era.
