One entire shelf of biographies of powerful men across different centuries and continents. And then something that surprised me. Fiction. A whole section of it tucked into the far corner like something private. Novels. Some of them old enough that the titles had faded. I pulled one out carefully. A Russian novel. Thick. Dense. The kind of book that required patience and silence and the willingness to sit inside discomfort for extended periods.

It was a section of the library dedicated entirely to novels, a vast treasure trove of fiction from around the world. Ashley's eyes sparkled with anticipation as she took in the towering shelves, each one packed with row upon row of novels. People just exaggerate about the existence of these creatures until now, which would be just ridiculous if I were to be asked. I scanned through more books. Though I'm not an avid reader, seeing all these books in front of me, I couldn't help but want to read them all. They all seemed to hold some kind of history that I just feel interested in. This is a first for me, though because I prefer reading about celebrities rather than reading about some fairy tales and history which are not proven to be true. I was so immersed, going through the books, that I did not notice when someone stood behind me.

The bookshelf was just as tall as Andrew so he could easily access the books there. The bookshelf had all sorts of books, ranging from fictional novels to nonfictional novels, to educational novels and textbooks.
