Fictional Foxes Novels & Stories

That’s when I stopped. Too late. They were already waiting. Six of them. Tall. Lean. Their bodies looked human, but they were covered in fur. Their eyes glowed orange, like small fires. These weren’t regular foxes. They were Spirit Foxes—fighters from the darkest parts of the woods. Around them, the air shimmered with leftover magic. One stepped forward. “Rane,” he said. “Why are you running with secrets hidden on you?” I said nothing. “Ugarh trusted you. Did he tell you what these messages would cost?”

Now clothed in animal skin skirts, they all sat around a fire in the middle of the round hut, pulling off pieces of meat and dipping it in salt as they considered the afternoon's events, the babies in a pile fast asleep. "Maybe she won't even be able to shift into a person," mumbled Aaron as he picked at his meal. Peacocks were omnivores and would eat just about anything, but it still annoyed him that the foxes, also technically omnivores, never thought to bring home nuts or fruits for the night. "That wouldn't make any sense then, you think she's just a wild fox that came out of a woman?" asked Asher, the first thing he really had to say about any of this.

Faith chewed on her lips as her eyes moves towards the board again – she go through everything she has learned about the alliance once again. Lately, she was able to learn that every member is a wolf disguised as a sheep. Everyone is trying to tear the other down. She doesn’t care who wins in the end, all she wants is the doom of Aldo. She smashed her lips together, as her eyes fixed on a picture of a very attractive Asian man, Felix. She narrowed her eyes and recall what Levi told her about him.

Everyone sighs deeply in relief when I hear the wheels screeching on the asphalt, indicating that they’re gone. Beware of the Fox? These four words are keep playing on my mind even Francois is long gone. Fox? FOX Fuck! François Oscar Xavier. François Oscar Xavier is the Fox.

And I'm starting to suspect I know what he is. Not a cat. Or not just a cat. I've seen this before. Twice, actually. Once in Prague, a raven that followed a blood witch for three centuries until she died and it turned to ash in the same breath. Once in Seoul, a white fox that served as eyes and ears for a shaman who could see through time. Familiars. Bound creatures, tethered to a person or a purpose, existing in that grey space between animal and something far older. They're rare, deliberate. And don't just show up as strays.

His head swivelled towards me, a smirk spreading across his face. "You have no idea what kind of people these rogues are, do you?" I shook my head slowly, confusion etched on my face. "Have your parents ever told you the story about the big war? It was a long time ago, when werewolves fought against creatures that looked like wolves but weren't really wolves. They were fake wolves, made to trick people.” “They are evil creatures in disguise,” he added. I couldn't believe my ears. “What?! You mean that actually happened? I thought it was just a spooky story to scare us at night!”

So the moment Jerel left the dining room and went with his rogues in another room, all that Natalie did was to hold her ears straight. “Did you contact the foxes?” Jerel asked and Natalie realized that he was a little bit worried , as if his success rate was depending on the answer of that question. “Yes, Alpha” the rogue said. “The problem with the foxes is easy. All they want is to let them hunt on the Red Blood Pack territory. I believe that this is an easy request” the rogue continued. “Yes,” Jerel also said. “They wouldn’t dare to rise against us and to form an alliance with the bears so they could start a fight against us, It's impossible.”

After hesitating for a moment, the Celestial Fox cautiously approached. Ambrose stood still, allowing the Celestial Fox to inch closer. The Celestial Fox was drawing nearer and nearer, and they would soon be able to capture it. But as it approached, the fox's nose twitched as it detected Ambrose's masculine scent. Its back arched, and its fur bristled with alarm. In a split second, Ambrose lunged forward, attempting to catch the fox. The Celestial Fox was lightning-fast. Sensing something was wrong, it swiftly changed direction and fled.

The sparrow nodded and took off once Kate replied. Kate watched the sparrow fly into the words before returning her eyes to the elderly fox. "You must be wondering why I'm still here." The elderly fox said and Kate nodded. "Well as I said before I came to see if the rumors about two foxes living past the falls were true, which they are, and I wished to see those of my species. Fox shifters are quite rare and I haven't seen another since my mate died." The fox said her voice drifting off at the mention of her mate.
