I don’t care if we burn this whole fortress to ash.” The room fell silent. Even the rogues straightened at the fire in her tone. Then, faintly, the sound of a key scraping a lock echoed down the hall. The door creaked open, and he stepped in.

No magic.” Luna chuckled darkly. “You’re scared of a little magic?” He leaned in, his voice a low promise. “I want to feel your strength, not your spells.” “Then you’ll feel everything I am,” she said. --- Night fell, and the stronghold gathered around the fighting pit, a sunken arena of stone surrounded by torches. The air was thick with anticipation, the scent of sweat, dirt, and primal excitement. Luna stepped into the pit, shedding her cloak, leaving her in a black leather top and fitted pants that hugged her body like a second skin. Her hair was braided back, her eyes stormy with promise.

They continued to impart knowledge about the palace to the princess. She still listened to their stories even though she was reading books about their kingdom. Luna felt at ease, she felt safe with new acquaintances. From day one she already considered them as her friends. She realized that she's no longer alone because there are actually people waiting for her and wants to get to know her.
